Passion not Willpower

I recently had my 1 year anniversary living a vegan lifestyle.  Some non vegans wonder how I have so much "willpower".  I don't have will power, I have a true passion for animal rights.  Once I found out what happens, there is no way I could contribute to that.  That is what drives me.  And now I will never go back.  I recently saw a t shirt that says "never trust an ex vegan" I love that quote because once someone is a vegan and knows better and then goes back to not caring, it makes you question their character.  Just something to think about.

Raspberry Cupcakes

Check out these wonderful cupcakes I made for a friend's birthday.  YumYum.  They have Vegan Cream Cheese Frosting and are garnished with some dark chocolate shavings and a raspberry.

Dreading Deer Season

With the season of deer hunting approaching here in Michigan, I am dreading seeing cars driving on the road with dead bodies strapped to their roof and driving past garages with dead deer hanging from the ceiling.  I hate these scenes.  I really get annoyed when I overhear people talking about their kill.  As if sneaking up on something and then opening fire on it makes the person a great sportsman/woman.  That is not a sport.  That is just murder.  If someone were to sneek into their house and shoot at them, that is what it would be, so why is this any different?
